This is a 1980s one-piece pushbutton phone that came with a hanger to hang it on a wall. It can also be used on a flat surface. There is a button on Snoopy's back that hangs it up when depressed. Snoopy is 7-1/2" long and 5" tall and is white with black ears,eyes,and nose. He has a red collar and a red phone cord. On the ear speaker it says:1958,1966 United Syndicate Inc. Deterimed Productions Inc. It has push buttons but dials with rotary pulses rather than tones. Features last-number redial, mute. |

On the bottom of the phone it says "The Snoopy and Woodstock Phone" American Telecommunications Corporation, El Monte Calif. model number ubm8010. It's dated 1976. It also has the serial number and FCC regulations number. About 14 inches tall and 9 inches wide. It has a plastic base w/woodgrain around the bottom of the base. The top of the base is red plastic. This came with either a touch-tone key pad or a dial. Snoopy stands behind the dial with his right arm extended holding the yellow receiver. His left arm is propped on his hip. Woodstock stands directly below Snoopy's left arm. Snoopy's head can turn from side to side. It has a high/low ringer control. This is one of four similar ATC character phones distributed by the Bell system with permission of Disney (Mickey Mouse, Snoopy, Kermit the Frog, and Winnie the Pooh). |

1984 SpiderMan Telephone made by MCG. Large yellow base that looks like a roof with a red brick chimney that a fully painted 12" rubber Spiderman is crawling down! A deep blue phone receiver is to the side of Spidey and the chimney. At the top of the receiver is a decal stating "The Amazing Spiderman." Another decal in the middle of the receiver is a spider emblem. Lift the receiver and you will see a decal of Spidey swinging through the air. Roof and Chimney are made of plastic and Spidey is made of rubber. Base measures 7" x 8-1/2" and phone is 10-1/4" tall. Base reads "Spider Man TM Copyright 1984 MCG Made in Hong Kong". 1993 Telemania limited edition. A replica of the USS Enterprise is mounted on a black base shaped as the V insignia. Black dialing push buttons with white numerals are in the base. The handset is shaped as half of the ship: you pick it up and the mouthpiece is at the rear and the receiver is the front round part of the ship. When you pick up the handset, the two engines are still attached to the ship. You can set the ringer to ring or to the red alert sound you hear when the Enterprise is being attacked. The two red warp lights in front of the engines flash when the phone rings. The ship measures 11" and the base 10-1/2". The height to the highest point of the ship is about 7-3/4". It is inscribed with William Shatner's autograph. Phone features include regular ringer option, redial and mute functions, pulse/tone switchable, hearing aid compatible. A telephone of Nintendo's Mario made in China for Dialfone Ltd. in 1992. The dial is on the base with colored stars for buttons. It came with either a red or a dark blue base. Mario is coming out of a pipe and can be swiveled around. Features tone/pulse switch, ringer on/off switch, mute key and last-number redial. Controls are on the bottom and setting it down causes the phone to hang up. 7-3/4" long by 5-1/4" high to the top of Marios head. |

Made in 1979 in China by A.T.E., and licensed by DC Comics. He is about 18" tall. Very difficult to find! This push button phone has SUPERMAN standing on a 8 inch by 9 inch white telephone base in front of a gray skyscraper. His red hard plastic cape extends down to base and the reciever hangs up vertically in the back of the cape. This same phone was also made in a rotary dial version. |

Model 41 'Superman', manufactured by MCC (MicroCommunications Corp.) in 1978. MCC is a subsidiary of MicroSemiconductor Corp of Santa Ana, California. Simulated walnut plastic base houses the telephone. Available in tone or pulse dialing versions. Came optionally with last-number redial, hold, toll restrict, 10-number memory, or speaker phone option.
Superman figure is about 15" ht, hand painted poly resin, cloth cape with "S" on back. Micro Communications was shut down in 1978 by DC Comics for trademark violations. The phones, statuettes and molds were suppose to have been destroyed, but were not. |
