Reinhard Bros.
Atwater Kent initially manufactured radio components but did not sell complete radios. This rare radio, manufactured by Reinhard Bros. Company in Minneapolis, uses Atwater Kent parts mounted on a sheet of black bakelite. The bakelite is engraved by each terminal post, identifying what it should connect to. Another unique feature is the five conical rubber feet under the board. This uses very early Atwater Kent parts - the Coupled Circuit Tuner has a tag that says 'Patent Pending' rather than 'Patents Pending' as seen on later units. The TA unit has a black rheostat knob which indicates it is designed for UV201 tubes, which have 1-ampere filaments. This radio was presumably made before Atwater Kent began selling completed radios and the circuit is identical to the Atwater Kent model 2. There is no manufacturer's name on the radio, but it appears in the Reinhard Bros. Company radio catalog.
